Community Service Project Opportunities
Alpine cares about our community and beyond. We are involved in service projects on a regular basis. Some of these projects benefit our immediate community, and some reach out to other parts of the nation and even around the world. We invite you to join us as we serve. Contact the church office for more information about any of these projects.
Community Service Project Day
Thank you to all of our great volunteers! Over 45 Alpiners impacted lives with Christ's Love through their willing hands and hearts.

Emmaus House Community Dinners Each month Alpiners provide a delicious meal and valuable services to the less fortunate in our community through the ministry center at St. Francis de Sales Church. We serve dinner to our guests, and on any given month we may help them with their tax forms and job applications, give free haircuts, monitor their blood pressure, or help in other practical ways. But the best part is just the time we get spend with our new friends, sharing the love of Christ. We need servers, helpers, and food preparers every month. Contact team coordinator
Sue Leahy for details or to volunteer. Monthly on the 2nd Sunday. Next meal: January 8 at St. Francis

Alpine Sharing Room & Children's Closet Even in our affluent community, there are a significant number of people who struggle to supply their families with the most basic of necessities. The Alpine Sharing Room is a clearinghouse of donated food items and other goods that are available to share with Alpiners or their friends and neighbors who may currently be in need.
New! Just as our Sharing Room helps fill empty shelves and refrigerators, the Closet is a free clothing resource to help Alpine families as well as needy families in our community. We are accepting donations of gently used, clean clothing in children's sizes (from infant to children’s large). We already have a good start, so if you know of anyone in need of clothing please have them contact the Alpine Office at 847-540-8280. The Sharing Room and Children's Closet are located at the Alpine office and are open during regular business hours.
Contact Kevn Dekker.

Adopt-a-Highway Alpine has "adopted" a 2-mile stretch of Old McHenry Road, just north of the church building. Several times a year adults, teens and kids meet at the church building early on Saturday mornings, get a safety vest and a donut, and head out to clean up our road. This is a great project to connect with other Alpiners while helping to beautify our community. Next cleanup: Spring 2012Contact Jim Dement for info.
